Dr Victor Ohayon was a Rabat-based specialist in internal medicine. He was a former lieutenant-colonel physician at the Mohammed V military hospital and a former internal physician at the Avicenne University Hospital in Rabat. He was also a professor at the Rabat Faculty of Medicine.
He treated a variety of conditions, including benign hematological conditions such as anemia, immune thrombocytopenia and hemoglobinopathies, as well as diabetes and thrombo-embolic diseases.
Dr Ohayon was also Director of the Internal Medicine Department at the Mohammed V Military Hospital in Rabat, and the only doctor of the Jewish faith to have received the highest military rank in the history of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
